Motorola says new Android iDEN phone coming

Motorola seems to be backing the Android operating system to try to get themselves back in the game. We recently covered the EV440 which will be Motorola’s first Android phone and now it is using its Israeli subsidiary, Mirs, to create the Opus 1 mobile phone. The Opus 1 will be Android powered aswell but will be fairly limited in connectivity as it will only have a wifi connection and voice will be supported through iDEN networks. This may help Mirs find a niche in the industrial arena with the mobile handset. The Opus 1 is expected to be released sometime in 2010.

Motorola Endeavor HX1 preview

A quick preview of the Motorola Endeavor HX1 BlueTooth headset shows us that it could just be the best BlueTooth head piece to hit the market. Initial tests of the hardware show that it fits just right on the ear with a variety of available ear buds and the “true bone conduction technology” is just about flawless. The unit is sleek and stylish and most importantly sounds good in your ear. The noise reduction is fantastic on the unit. The HX1 has a handy ear loop to keep things close to your ear and with the CrystalTalk technology you have perfect sound heading into your ears.

Sneak peek at Motorola’s Android phone

Seems like Google’s Android is all the rage these days and new Android powered devices are springing up all over the place. We managed to get our hands on some leaked photos of the first Android based Motorola phone courtesy of the guys at BlueTooth SIG. This blurry image is the only evidence we have of the Motorola VE440 which will be heading to North American markets very soon. There is not much else than this blurry photo but that is all you usually get from the folks at BlueTooth SIG. More on the EV440 as it gets leaked.
